Collection VESNA is influenced (as well) by Slavic folklore and background. Women's folklore clothing and styling amazingly highlights feminine aspects of women - personally I love draped skirts tight almost under the bust, wrap blouses and braided hair. This contemporary style is possible to vary endlessly.
Name of the collection represents mythological women characters from Slavic mythology, associated with spring, youth, feminity, reborn and renewed life. Vesna was considered as the sunniest goddess, the goddess of spring, winning every year over Morena, the goddess of winter. Collection is about coming back to strength, about memories, to safe places, where we are from. That's why it shows a lot of old and vintage we know from our upbringing, which is implemented into modern designs.
Two blouses from collection are old wrap blouses from France, saved and fixed, dyed in red, finished with wrap stripes. There are two vintage black folklore skirts too, which were fixed as well and can be worn as overskirts. The collection brings as well skirts with front apron-like panels, aprons themselves, organic cotton dress, bomber jackets and spring coats.Photo: Raoul Le Mans // Models: Monique RM, Suze Van 't Ende, Anita Bos // Muah: Fernanda Kipp // Styling: Martina Marekova Kuipers // Assistants: Lubi Kalinay and Marcello Gonzales // Headpieces by Mirka Mg of Mirkin // Location: National Park Veluwe
